She received her master's degree in medical technology education at California State University, Dominguez Hills. She was a licensed medical technologist and section chief of Hematology prior to attending medical school. "Dr. Suzie," as she is called affectionately by her patients, did two residencies. The first residency was in Pathology at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., and the second was in Pediatrics at our own Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She decided her passion was caring for children. She has been in practice with some of her current partners for many years. She fell in love with the change of seasons, the beautiful lake-front, and the Green Bay Packers, and has chosen to make Milwaukee her home. She is married to a local Milwaukee fire fighter and has one son. She enjoys swimming, boating, biking, rafting, exercising and traveling.
