Dr. Paul Norton's mindfulness based training (mindfulness based stress reduction, or MBSR) for children is a program for helping kids grow up more balanced, happier and better equipped to handle day to day life.

    About Dr. Paul Norton

Dr. Norton is a developmental behavioral pediatrician, which is a physician with training in general pediatrics with a practice focused on developmental, learning and behavioral issues. Dr. Norton was a general pediatrician for 25 years. As Dr. Norton's patient population grew up, he became more involved in developmental-behavioral health issues. Children that Dr. Norton treated for developmental issues naturally required longer, more in-depth consultations and courses of treatment than traditional pediatric visits. In July 2006, Dr. Norton completed an intensive PREP series in developmental-behavioral pediatrics, transitioning his practice to full-time developmental behavioral pediatrics.

Outside of Dr. Norton's practice, he actively participates in meditation (including teaching stress reduction) and continued education on the many models of psychotherapy. Dr. Norton embraces Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and uses parts of this modality in counseling. He has taught MBSR to adults for several years.
