Billing and insurance coverage
If at any time you have questions regarding billing, insurance, fees or need to discuss your account, please feel free to contact our business office coordinator at (414) 228-0099, option 2.
Please bring your insurance card
We will submit a claim to most primary and secondary insurances. Please remember to bring your current insurance cards to your appointments. Please notify us promptly of any change in insurance coverage. Patients covered under a Title 19 or Medicaid program must present a valid card for each visit.
Newborn
You should contact your insurance company as soon as possible after your child has been born. Most health plans allow 30 days to add your newborn to your insurance plan. If you have coverage through Title 19/Medicaid, you MUST contact your case worker immediately. Your case worker will provide you with a temporary identification number. Please note that any charges from services rendered are your responsibility until the insurance information has been received.
Accident/injury cases
Due to the potential ongoing legal issues with injury or accident cases, we ask that you file the claim yourself. In these cases, we will ask for payment at the time of service and provide you with a receipt for your record.
Co-payments
Many insurances require a co-pay at the time of service. If you do not pay your co-pay at the time of service, your account will be charged an additional $25.
Balance due/statements
Once your insurance company has processed your claim, we will bill you for the remaining balance. Payments are expected upon receipt of your statement. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash, checks or money orders.
If you are uninsured
If you are uninsured, or if we are unable to verify coverage, we ask for a minimum of $50 for payment at your first visit which will be applied to your charges. If charges exceed the payment, we will send you a statement.
Bayshore Pediatrics works with the Wisconsin Vaccine For Children Program. If you are uninsured, please inform our staff so that we may provide vaccinations at minimal cost to you.
Additionally, please speak with a staff member regarding discounted services if you are uninsured.
Unexpected financial situations
Occasionally, unexpected financial circumstances may make it difficult to pay a large balance at one time. If this is the case, our patient account representative will work with you to make payment arrangements.
Insurance coverage
Bayshore Pediatrics currently accepts a wide variety of insurance. Please call your insurance company to verify the type of coverage you should expect with our physicians.

Fees
Children's Medical Group sets fees according to the usual and customary charges in our area. Fees are based on the services provided for each child/patient.
Physicians must follow accepted national guidelines when determining what your charges (level of service) will be. They must code your visit based upon what services were provided and cannot take into account particular health plan designs. Consequently we are unable to switch the visit reason and diagnosis in order for a claim to be covered by your insurance. If you think there is an error on your account , please call our office immediately.
