History

1962   John Czajka, MD, left a pediatric practice in West Allis and hung his shingle out near Highway 100 and Parnell Avenue in Hales Corners.

1964   Jack Alstadt, MD, joined Dr. Czajka, and they moved to a medical building at 107th Street and Parnell Avenue.

1969   Dr. Czajka and Dr. Alstadt moved to what is now the Whitnall Medical Building on Highway 100 near the entrance to Whitnall Park. 

1975   Arthur Dorrington, MD, joined the practice.

1978   Dr. Czajka, Dr. Alstadt and Dr. Dorrington moved to the Forest View Medical Building in Hales Corners. 

1979   Robert Miller, MD, joined the practice.

1984   David Lautz, MD, joined the practice. 

1985   Dr. Alstadt became the first chief medical officer of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He retired from the group, and Dr. Lautz took over his practice. 

1988   Lyn Ranta, MD, joined the practice after working in the area of public health in Milwaukee. 

1989   Jerry Hartmann, MD, joined the practice after serving as chief resident at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. 

1992   Laurie Grunske, MD, joined the group and inherited Dr. Czajka's patients.

1994   Dr. Czajka retired from the practice.  

1995   Dr. Miller became the second chief medical officer of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and retired from the practice. 

Christopher Zukowski, MD, joined the clinic and inherited Dr. Miller's practice.

The practice joined Children's Medical Group, becoming one of the first groups to join.     

2005   Dan Dorrington, MD, joined the practice after being chief resident at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. 

2006   Amy Lautz, MD, joined the practice, continuing the tradition started by the Dorrington family. 

2009   The practice moved to a wonderfully spacious new office in New Berlin, sharing space with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin specialty clinics.

2010   Dr. Ranta retired from the practice to take the new position at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin as director of physician affairs.  

Arthur Dorrington, MD, retired from the practice after 35 years of service.  

Leyla Hamizadeh, MD, joined the practice after finishing her training at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, inheriting Dr. Ranta's practice. 

Paul Veldhouse, MD, joined the practice after serving as chief resident at Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago, inheriting Dr. Dorrington's practice.
