During office hours, your call will be answered by a recorded message that asks you to select one of several choices. You may experience a short wait depending on the number of other parents calling at that time. Be assured that your call will be answered in the order received.
Nurses answer our triage lines to advise patients and parents. These nurses are experienced in dealing with common problems and minor illnesses and are available to answer your questions. Our goal is to respond to each call in a timely and efficient manner. Because your calls are important to us, we offer the following guidelines for telephone calls.
If possible, please call early in the day to schedule appointments for acute illnesses. We can recommend care more efficiently if you provide information on:
-
The child' first and last name.
-
The child's age.
-
The name of the child's regular pediatrician.
-
Temperature, if applicable.
-
Any medications the child is currently taking.
-
Any special needs or chronic health problems the child may have.
After 10 a.m., our triage phone lines are typically open for general medical questions or advice calls.
