Immunizations
What to expect after your child receives immunizations:
- Fever.
- Localized swelling, soreness, redness.
- Irritability.
- If given the Varicella or MMR, you may experience a rash, which can occur from the time the shot was given and up to two weeks after the shot was given.
- Bruising
What you can do:
- Tylenol and/or Ibuprofen (depending on age and weight).
- Warm compress/warm bath.
- Massage.
These are very common side effects that can last a few days. If there are any concerns, please discuss with the doctor before leaving or call our office.
