• For visiting trick-or-treaters, remove any items children could trip over from the porch and front yard such as garden hoses, toys, bikes and lawn decorations.
• Check outdoor lights and replace any burned-out bulbs.
• Wet leaves should be swept away from sidewalks and steps.
• Be sure pets are restrained so they do not jump on or bite a visitor.
